Wild Boar Performance and talk back after the show

Attend a performance of Candace Chong’s Wild Boar, produced by Silk Road Rising, and followed by an private led talk-back with Jamil Khoury, AM'92

Join fellow University of Chicago alumnus and winner of this year’s Diversity Leadership Alumni Award, Jamil Khoury, AM'92 for a performance of Wild Boar at his theatre company in the Loop. Silk Road Rising, where Khoury serves as Founding Artistic Director, is producing the U.S. premiere of a new play by Candace Chong, adapted by Tony Award-winning playwright David Henry Hwang.

A gripping investigation of journalistic integrity, city planning, and social conscience, Wild Boar is a new play from one of Hong Kong’s most acclaimed playwrights. When a controversial professor goes missing, an editor and his student band together to publicize the truth. Old flames spark and friendships are tested in the U.S. premiere of this thriller about media manipulation, fake news, and who gets to speak for the poor. After the performance, join us for a talkback with Jamil Khoury, AM'92 about the play.
