Celebrating Angela Jackson: A Life in Literature

A Dinner and Program at The Cliff Dwellers

Award-winning poet, playwright, novelist and UC alum Angela Jackson will be celebrated and awarded a Certificate of Honorary Membership in The Cliff Dwellers arts club at a special program on October 27, 2017. Ms. Jackson will offer readings from her works, including her latest novel "Roads, Where There Are No Roads," and her new biography of Gwendolyn Brooks. Ms. Jackson will be introduced by her editor at Northwestern University Press, Parneshia Jones. The Seminary Co-Op Bookstore will offer signed copies of Ms. Jackson's recent books for sale at the event.

A cash bar will be available starting at 4:30pm. A buffet dinner costing $35 will be served. Reservations should be made by emailing the Club at or calling 312 922-8080. Dinner will begin at 6pm. The program will begin at 7:15pm and end by 8pm.
