How to Prepare for the Next Presidential Election

The Electoral College, National Popular Vote, the New York Times, and Us

In partnership with International House Global Voices Lecture Series, members of the Alumni Club of Chicago Board of directors are honored to host Bill Josephson, AB'52 for an enlightening discourse of the electoral college. 

bill-josephson-foto-flexerBill Josephson, AB'52 is a distinguished attorney and public servant who was awarded the University of Chicago Alumni Association’s Public Service Citation in 2007, and has recently been a Shriver Fellow at the University’s Institute of Politics. A graduate of Columbia University School of Law, he is a retired partner of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP, has written many articles on law & non-profit issues, has testified many times before various Senate and House Committees and taught at George Washington, Cardozo and Brooklyn Law Schools. Bill was Special Assistant to the Director and then Counsel to the Peace Corps from early 1961, until he joined Fried Frank in 1966. In 1972, he was the coordinator of Sargent Shriver’s campaign for Vice President on the McGovern/Shriver ticket, and is now a senior advisor to the Sargent Shriver Peace Institute.
