Hyde Park Book Group February 23 Meeting

The Spy and The Traitor by Ben McIntyre (418 pages)

For our February 23 meeting we will discuss The Spy and The Traitor by Ben McIntyre (418 pages)

McIntyre tells the true story of Oleg Gordievsky, the Russian KGB agent whose secret work helped to end the Cold War.  We see Gordievsky's growing disillusionment with the Soviet Union as they build the Berlin Wall, his admiration for the freedom of the west, and his working relationship with British intelligence.  The book is fast paced and exciting.

Paul will lead the discussion.

We will select books at the February 23 meeting. Fiction or non-fiction is fine.  Please read the book before you recommend it.  The person recommending the book usually leads the discussion.

If you plan to attend please call or email the contact person listed below for directions or questions.
